Preparing bitmap files
Bitmap files can be assigned to scale and bitmap components.
The following restrictions apply to bitmap files that can appear in custom displays.
• Uncompressed format with 256 colors or fewer
• Data
ofscreensize640(W)x480(H)pixelsorless
If an uncompressed bitmap file cannot be displayed in a custom display, open the file
ina
Windows-basedimageeditor(suchasWindows“Paint”),performthefollowing
operations, then save the file.
Starting Windows Paint
1.
Onthemenubar,clickImage > Attribute.
The [Attribute] dialog box appears.
2.
Set the width and height to 640 and 480 or less.
The bitmap file’s size units of pixels will be units of dots on the DX recorder screen.
Starting from the upper left apex as the origin, the bitmap file is cropped to the specified
size.
3.
Setthecolorasdesired,thenclick[OK].
4.
Onthemenubar,clickFile > Save As.
The [Save As] dialog box opens.
5.
Enter a file name, then set the file type to [Monochrome bitmap], [16 color bitmap],
or [256 color bitmap].
6.
Click the [Save] button.
The bitmap file is saved.
